Description

Not too happy with this but I mean it was pretty experimental. No lineart really at all. Defined all the features with shading, which is surprisingly hard to do. Maybe I'll try to do this style again one day, but for now I just gotta work on Apple's ref because I've really been procrastinating with that lol.
I drew this a few days ago but didn't want to upload it because I didn't really like it... but I decided i might as well because this account is kinda how I document my progress.
So yeah..... enjoy lmao

I tried lineless art for a while because I'm terrible at inking lineart, and yeah, it sucks and is really hard to do. Were you using the dodge/burn tool for this? The recommended way to do realistic shading is by blending different shades of the same color and/or contrasting colors, the same way you'd do for a traditional painting. I find it's a lot more fun, too. Very soothing.
